Merry Christmas

Honestly this year's chrismas was not as good as the other that i have had in my past. I got about 7 new sweaters which i always get for chrismas. I also got two new games for my PS3 which is Assasin's Creed and DBZ Raging Blast. I also recieved some new shoes and that was about it. I hate the fact that my birthday is so close to christmas because i get one big present which would be my 32 GB Ipod touch this year for my birthday. Unfortunately i still have a lot of work to do for my classes so now that i have gotten my presents i will work on it.

Basketball Update

So far the season is going great for the Nuggets. Our record is 20-8 behing the Lakers in the Western Conference so what more can i ask for, well besides first place but second is good as well. Carmelo Anthony is averaging 30.8 points which is the highest for any player in the NBA so i am very cool with that. If the nuggets can win a championship this year then now I can make an argument for Carmelo being the best player in the NBA but maybe I should still wait until he's about 28 years old or something to do that. But anyway so far if the season continues to play like it has a third of the way through the season then we will be 59-23 which would be outstanding and I will be happy.

Functions are used in every area of mathematics. The area of mathematics that takes function as a main set of study is called analysis. In functions, there is an independent variable or argument that is usually represented by the letter x but if the input or indepent variable is revolved around time then people would usually represent it as the letter t. In functions there are also dependent variables or value that is usually represented by the letter y. The function itself if represented by f and that is why f=y(x)

Best Buy

Best buy is a good place to get things. This is the place where i happen to buy games and movies. They allow you to play games for display. They also sell GPS, cell phones, Tv's and books. I would recommend this to people who want to get things on sale and still get as good of quality as anything else has to offer.

Yahoo Video

Yahoo video is a very good thing to get in to. You can recieve mail telling you new current events. There are various topics that you are able to view and get access into. You can view the news as many people do due to their interest in current events. You can view movies and television which is really cool because many people are interested in that as well. They have a section for just funny videos and clips, let's be serious who doesnt like funny things?. They also show the newest things in sports, and i am one who likes to watch sports so this is something that i am interested in. The last section of view that they have is spotlight. This is very unique because it has videos from every section but only the most important ones that people would view the most.

Google Maps

Google maps is a very important thing for some people. It is mainly used for people to get around different places and get dirrections. I have used Google Maps to print out a map of where i toured around Brooklyn for Ms.Sinckler. This is a good thing as you can see because you can get around and create projects like I did. I also felt that i did a pretty good job on my project which is good so this can do the same for other people. I always use this when i have to go to a place that I am unfamiliar with and other people can do the same.

Worldlive

This is a website that includes webcams. Once you say webcams for some reason people seem to get clung on to it because sometimes they use it to communicate with their friends and family. This doesnt use webcams for that reason but dont be upset about that. It uses webcams for other reasons that are very cool. This website is Worldlive and it enables you to see site from all over the world. I would recommend this to a lot of different peole to use it for the purpose of seeing new things in life. The only reason why i would recommend this to someone is because it can show you things that you shouldnt be revealed to however, you can avoid this.

Blogger

I believe that blogger is a good thing that a lot more people should be interested in looking at. You can publish posts to blogger making it available for other people to see it. Also you can add images and videos to show something to back up what you wrote on your blog which is really good. It is actually quite funny because i am posting a blog about blogger on blogger with my blog for my teacher because she told us to make a blog and I chose blogger as one blog to put a blog about. I would recommend it because it is a good learning experience as i have implied in the written statements about it above. I dont think that their are any bad things about blogger, it only helps you do positive things but it might be a little time consuming for some people.

My Favorite Television Show

Over the break all i have been doing is catching up on my family guy. It is like the funniest show watch on channel 11. I have basically seen every new episode and old ones. The funniest part about the show is that it has a lot of flashbacks about their life. Also they relate the shows to current events often which is another funny feature about the show.

My Birthday

Today was one of the best birthdays. My mother said that she isnt going to get the cake until tomorrow because she wants it to be celebrated along with thanksgiving but its ok. The only reason why I say that is because of my gift. I got the new ipod touch 3g and i downloaded a lot of new applications for fun. I am going to try and put movies and television shows that are funny like family guy. I cant wait until I put all of these new things so that i can enjoy my gift.

This video shows David Wright hitting a clutch homerun against the phillies. In this game, the tables have turned because the Phillies always come from behind to defeat the Mets. It actually almost seems like every game they play against each other. David Wright had four Rbis in this game and they came in both the 8th and 9th inning to help the Mets come back.

World Series 2009 Game 6!!!!!

Finally the World Series has come an end. Game 6 at Yankee Stadium was one to remember. Mariano Rivera came in the 8th inning looking to get another fabulous two inning save. It was 6-3 at the time but they scored one more insurance run to make 7-3 the final. The pitching match up was Pedro Martinez vs Andy Petitte. Hideki Matsui did basically all of the damage in this game. He hit a 2-run shot in the 3rd inning and also has a two-run double along with a 2-RBI single. He has 6 RBIs overall and that tied a record for the most RBIs in a clinching game in Yankees. He ended up being the MVP of the world series as he had 3 homeruns in this series and only started one game. Pedro got the loss and Andy Pettite got the win as the Yankees got their 27th World Series Title.

World Series Game 5!!!!!!

Another game that Cliff Lee starts, another day the Phils are victorious. Cliff Lee was throwing a brilliant game up until the 8th inning. He only game up one run until the eighth. Chase Utley also took part in the big win as he hit a big 3-run shot off of A.J Burnett and another add on run in the bottom of the 7th with a solo shot. He also tied a record with Reggie Jackson as he hit 5 homeruns in the World Series. In the 8th inning, the Yankees made it a real ballgame. Back to back singles to begin the inning and a 2-run double. Cliff Lee then gave up a walk and the manager took him out of the game and the man that came out of the bullpen gave up those runs that were charged to Lee. Cliff Lee ended up giving up 5 runs in 7+ innings as he did not record an out in the 8th. From that inning the Yankees werent able to muster up a really big inning to take the lead or anything but they got one more run. Brad Lidge ended up getting the save in the 9th inning and Cliff Lee got the win as A.J Burnett got the loss. The Yankees now lead the series 3-2.

World Series Game 4!!!!!

If there was ever a game to come up big Johnny Damon did it tonight. He was 3 for 4 with an RBI, also he got a late 9th inning single which started a rally. The Yankees in the beggining of this game got 2 runs to start out, then the Phils came back to score one in the bottom of the inning. Later they score another run in the middle inning to tie it. Then the Yanks got another rally to score two more and put themselves ahead 4-2. In the bottom of the 7th Chase Utley got to C.C with a solo homerun to get Philadelphia within one run. The Yankees put Joba Chamberlain to pitch in the bottom of inning number 8. He struck out the first two guys as he had his best fastball and continued to throw it. Pedro Feliz came up to try to do one thing and that was to hit a homerun so that they wouldnt have to rally off of Mariano Rivera(Yankees Closer) to tie the game. Pedro Feliz worked the count then Joba made a mistake by leaving a fastball down the middle and up and Pedro left it into the bleachers and the game was tied. With two out and nobody on Johnny Damon worked the count and then slapped a single the other way. Then he stole two bases to get to third. Mark Teixeira was hit with a pitch. A-ROD came to the plate and lined a double to left field with 2 out to take the lead the the top of the ninth. Jorge Posada hit another base hit to score two add on runs and Mariano Rivera came in the bottom of the ninth and did his business and got the save. But who knows what would have happened if Johnny Damon didnt get his little 2-out single off of Brad Lidge(Phillies closer). The Yankees defeated the Phillies 7-4 at Citizens Bank Park and took a dominating lead 3-1 in the series.

World Series Game 3!!!

WOW what a game until the very last pitch. It seemed like both Andy Pettite and Cole Hamels both brought good stuff to the game but the hitters seemed to not care as they had quite a few home runs in this game. A-rod broke out of a 0 for 8 slump with a 2-run shot in the third inning, cutting the Philadelphia lead. Then later in the inning the pitcher for the Yankees Andy Pettite hit an RBI base hit of his own to tie the game 3-3. From there the Yankees continued to add on runs. They went on to defeat the Phillies 8-5 in Citizens Bank Park and shocked the Phillies as they take a 2-1 series lead.

World Series Game 2!!!!

Finally the Yanks pull through without losing the first two games at Yankees Stadium to Philly. A.J Burnett surprised everyone as he is known for throwing will pitches but threw none for 7 inning with only giving up a run. Pedro Martinez, long time Yankee rival threw 6 innings and gave up 3 runs. Both bullpens held there ground in this game with throwing 5 shutouts innings together. Once again it was a close pitching duel just like game 1 however the Yankees defeated the Phils 3-1 and tied the series against them 1-1.

World Series 2009 Game 1

The Phillies took game 1 in the world series of 2009 against the Yankees best pitcher on the mound C.C Sabathia. Cliff Lee(Phillies Ace) took a shutout into the 9th inning, Unfortunately due to a misplay by Phillies shortstop Jimmy Rollins, he gave up an unearned run. The Phillies added 2 runs in the top of inning number 8 and 9 and completely dominated the Yankees in a heartbreaking game number 1. The Phillies now lead this series 1-0.

Micheal Jackson:King Of Pop

I am very sorry to hear of the death of Micheal Jackson. I think that he was really the King Of Pop. Many people like Chris Brown and Prince try to use his dance moves it seems like. However, to me, noone will ever be like MJ. His music will forever live with me.

I thought the video was actually interesting. I say this because it was his last moments of life. Also people said that he was a very sad man. When i saw "This Is It" it really showed me that you cant always believe what the media says.

Mathematics

Math is by far my favorite subject because it is complex for many other people but i understand because of my logical reasoning skills and i love to have it. Another great part of it is that it is science, and the study of quantity, space, structure and change. The word "mathematics" comes from the Greek máthēma.

This is Carmelo Anthony, the dude that shoots 3s like a breeze and dunks on the rest of the little dudes. Carmelo played with the Denver Nuggets and last year he averaged 22.8 points every game. This is outstanding knowing that he will only get better currently at the age of 25. He was born in Brooklyn, New York then moved to Baltimore early in his life. His father was Puerto Rican and his mother was African American. He went to Syracuse College then he was drafted by the Denver Nuggets in the first round. In 2003(Rookie Season) he was the first player since 1989 to lead his team in scoring during his rookie year. Carmelo Anthony has achieved many accolades for his success. He is a three-time ALL-NBA selection, 2-time all-star, NBA All rookies team and many more. . .

Baseball is most definitely my favortie sport. I play baseball everytime i get a chance to. My inspiration would be David Wright. He hits for a high batting average and usually hits a lot of homeruns although this year was a bit of a disappointment for him and his team. I cant wait for next baseball season so he can prove himself again.

Baseball Update

Many trades have been going on in the MLB. Even rivals have basically traded. Many players are on the Hot stove meaning trades for those players are heating up. Players such as Jason Bay(A big homerun hitter), Matt Holliday(A man who has power, hits for average and plays a gold glove calibur left field) and Roy Halladay(An ace, point blank). These guys are the biggest on the market right now. The New York Mets happen to have interest on John Lackey, Matt Holliday and/or Jason Bay. The Mets have already gotten Chris Coste(A past Phillies Catcher) and Henry Blanco. The Phillies got the Mets former catcher (last year), Brian Schneider. The Yankees have already had a huge offseason by getting pretty much the three best guys on the market and went on to win a World Series with the help of these guys. We can only wait until the Winter Meetings Stir up and hear big names being for money and potential stars in minor leaguers.
